2024, 2025PINAYSPHERE, Museum of Ventura County, Simi Valley Public Library Community Engagement
A bahay kubo is a type of stilt house indigenous to the Philippines usually built using local materials. It is also an icon of Philippine culture. I prototyped and fabricated a Bahay Kubo cultural art workshop for the Museum of Ventura County (2024) and the Simi Valley Public Library (2025) for Filipino American History Month.

Internship
I was selected to be the intern for Mobile Mural Lab’s project at the Ray D. Prueter Library in Port Hueneme. I worked with artists Renée Fox and David Russell to complete the building’s three front-facing facades. I’m proud to have contributed to the beautification of a local library, community hubs I enjoy frequenting.

2024PINAYSPHERE, UFW, PILASPublic Art, Community Engagement
PINAYSPHERE, United Farm Workers (UFW), and People in Liberated Autonomous Spaces (PILAS) joined forces for the “Si Se Puede / Isang Bagsak” utility box project. The project involved painting 4 utility boxes with imagery revolving around the contributions of both Mexican and Filipino farmworkers to the West Coast Labor Movement.
My two boxes were based on Larry Itliong, Philip Vera Cruz, Agbayani Village, and the Delano Grape Strike. Members of the local community came to help paint, including adding their purple thumbprints to the grapevines, creating a sense of ownership to the art, history, and city.

2024PINAYSPHERE, Island Pacific Seafood MarketPublic Art, Community Engagement
I had the opportunity to compose the Filipino ancestral markings (black linework) on PINAYSPHERE’s mural honoring Larry Itliong, a filipino farmworker and one of the fathers of the West Coast labor movement.
The artwork can be found at Island Pacific Seafood Market in Oxnard, my childhood Filipino grocery store.
I consulted with
Lane Wilkin, traditional cultural and tattoo practitioner, who provided the 3 markings we used: Pika (Spear), Ikamon (Mat/Banig), and Nasukat ti Buaya (Double Crocodile). The project was completed with the help of community members during free mural workshops hosted by PINAYSPHERE called Muralism Medicina.
